Sheba Farms LLC (USA and Ethiopia) is a Company engaged in promoting Teff (Eragrostis tef), an ancient cereal grain of Ethiopia, and its products. In a Seminar at the International Food Policy Institute (IFPRI), Washington D.C. in 2014, Dr. Berhe described Teff as an “Outstanding Grain for Healthy Food and Ethiopia’s Latest Gift to the World.” It was not an exaggeration. Teff was also named “The next Super food” by (Huffington Post, The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Business Insider in 2014) and by (New York Times, BBC, The Economist and National Geography Magazine in 2016). Sheba Farms intends to ultimately leverage other Pan-African and Ethiopian ancient grains within its radius, such as sesame seeds, lean seeds, Niger seeds, Teff, and an abundant variety of fruits to produce world class ready-made food products through the application of artisan techniques and cutting-edge food technology.
